PLEASE NOTE Brother knitting machines and accessories are no longer produced, so they are now all pre-owned. Therefore, they may not be cosmetically perfect, but they are all in good working condition.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
UK BUYERS
I can accept payment by Cash on Collection, Bank Transfer, Personal Cheque, Postal Order, or Cashier's Cheque.
If you are a UK buyer please advise me how you would like to pay and I will send you the appropriate details by email.
If you would like to collect any item, please email me with suggested dates for collection. Cash on collection please.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS
I CAN ONLY ACCEPT PAYMENT BY BANK TRANSFER IN GBP.
Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or P&P charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be, if any, prior to making your purchase.
These charges, if payable, are normally collected by the delivering Courier (freight) company or when you pick the item up. Do not confuse them for additional P&P charges.
We cannot mark merchandise values below value or mark items as 'gifts', international government regulations prohibit such behaviour.
RETURNS, REFUNDS AND DAMAGED/FAULTY GOODS POLICY
RETURNS
The buyer can cancel a purchase within 7 working days of receipt of the goods, subject to the parcel being unopened and the item being unused, with all of its packaging, instructions and associated components being in the same condition as supplied.
Before returning the goods, the buyer must contact me by email, and obtain authorisation from me by email.
I must receive the goods within fourteen calendar days of the courier delivering the item to the buyer.
It will be the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the goods have been packed safely for the return journey, as I accept no liability for loss or damage caused on the return journey.
The buyer will be responsible for the cost of returning the parcel to me and is advised to take out adequate insurance cover for damage or loss in transit.
It shall be the buyer's responsibility to handle any claims arising from damage or loss of the goods in transit to me. I recommend that you obtain proof of dispatch, with tracking details.
A refund by me, of the purchase price of the item (not shipping, handling and insurance costs) is dependent on the safe return of the goods to me.
DAMAGE TO PARCEL/GOODS
It will be necessary for someone to be at the delivery address to sign for the parcel when the driver delivers it.
It will be the person receiving the parcel who is responsible for thoroughly checking the parcel before signing for it. If there is any damage to the outside of the parcel “DAMAGED” should be specified on the driver’s delivery sheet, otherwise you should sign for the parcel as “UNEXAMINED”.
Any damage to the parcel or goods must be reported to me by email within 24 hours of receipt of the parcel, with supporting photographic evidence of the damage if requested by me.
In all cases of damage do not destroy/dispose of any of the items/packaging. Do not remove the item(s) from the parcel, if the parcel is obviously damaged on the outside.
Please remember that only I can make an insurance claim, so I cannot accept claims for damaged/missing goods if the delivery note of the carrier has been signed for as received “in good condition”. By merely signing your name, Couriers sometimes interpret this as meaning that the parcel has been delivered in good condition.
The buyer must communicate with me first by email before returning a damaged item, to obtain authorisation from me by email, as the inspector from the courier company will usually view the damaged item/packaging at the delivery address.
Once the claim with the courier has been settled, I will replace or refund at my discretion.
FAULTY GOODS
In the case of a faulty item being delivered, I must be notified of any complaint within 24 hours of delivery.
Before returning the goods, the buyer must communicate with me by email (with supporting evidence including photographs if I request them) and obtain authorisation from me by email.
I will replace or refund the goods at my discretion and meet the cost of returning the faulty goods to me if required.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR OVERSEAS BUYERS
All electrical goods for sale on this website were designed to work with our electrical supply system here in the UK, which runs at 220/240 volts.
If your electrical system runs at any other voltage than 220/240 volts you will need to buy a step converter. This will allow the UK electrical goods to run safely on your local electrical supply. These step converters are normally inexpensive and readily available from your local electrical store/electrician.
Failure to use a step converter properly may damage the electrical goods purchased from the UK.
